A Great Start For Our Corporate Business Solutions Annual Meeting!

Our annual gathering for the CBS team was launched with a healthy breakfast, which would make any mother proud! Before a long day of seminars and workshops on business best practices and tax code updates, our analysts and consultants started the day right with a buffet selection of scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, grits, hash brown potatoes, fresh fruit, muffins and pastries as well as an assortment of cold cereals, homemade granola and yogurt. The AIDS Walk Kansas City: Walking In Memory Of Lost Loved Ones
Corporate Business Solutions supported Liza’s fundraising for AIDS Walk Kansas City on April 25, 2015, which she walked in memory of a friend of hers from Kansas City.

Lisa was proud to share that her team, Truck Stop Marys, met its $1,500 goal while the event raised more than $300,000 to benefit four Kansas City organizations, Kansas City CARE Clinic, SAVE, Inc., Good Samaritan Project and the Hope Care Center, providing assistance with healthcare, housing and counseling among other services in the Kansas City community.
We’re Supporting Our Local Food Pantry At Corporate Business Solutions

One cause that CBS Consulting employees feel very strongly about is fighting hunger.
Our employees have organized multiple events to prevent hunger such as packing seeds and packing ready-to-serve meals as well as collecting food and other necessities (such as paper plates, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, aluminum foil, soap, shampoo, etc.), during our office’s Annual Food Drive for the Libertyville Food Pantry.
While employees can see the empty bins fill with grocery items, only our facilities crew has actually experienced the joy of delivering our donations to the Food Pantry. Ken and …

Warm Fuzzies For Valentine’s Day!
Holidays at Corporate Business Solutions are an opportunity to let the creativity of our coworkers shine. This dessert themed potluck was no exception. Deb, our centerpiece maestro (in the photo below), created the two adorable ‘warm fuzzies,’ large-eyed creatures that appear way too cute to eat (although, we managed!). We also had two heart shaped Rice Krispie treats, two Baker’s Square silk pies (chocolate and peanut butter), and many more delectable goodies.

CBS Delivers Happiness With Toys For Tots!
A charity that receives a huge amount of support at Corporate Business Solutions is Toys For Tots (we had collection boxes in every department). Liza, once again, organized the donations with reminder emails and posters hung throughout our offices (she also collected cash from those employees who were too busy to shop and she hit the Black Friday sales for even more toys). Our employees responded with great generosity.

A Warm Holiday Welcome At Corporate Business Solutions!
Visitors at Corporate Business Solutions are greeted by the twinkling lights of our Christmas tree and fireplace mantle. Shout out to our incredible maintenance team, Tim, Ken and Oscar, for stringing lights, draping garland, as well as assembling the tree and all its decorations. They even wrapped the ‘gifts’ that are displayed underneath!

Making Christmas Bright For A Local Family!

At Corporate Business Solutions, we’re, once again, participating in the Salvation Army’s ‘Adopt A Family’ program. Elizabeth, first, contacted our Salvation Army, asking to adopt the neediest family that they had available. She then publicized the family’s ‘wish list’ via an email blast, asking for people to give funds or bring items for this family in lieu of exchanging gifts with their coworkers. She also recruited shopping volunteers to take advantage of up-coming ‘Black Friday’ sales.
A Fall Treat!
No tricking, just treating, as Tina hands out autumn leaves and bowls of candy to every department at Corporate Business Solutions! Our Halloween candy is ordered from a former client and it is a beloved tradition, which employees look forward to every year!
Free Flu Shots For All Employees!
As flu season fast approaches, our workplace is ready with free flu shots, which are offered to all interested employees. It’s a popular benefit. Employees cheerfully line-up and wait their turn!
Heading to our conference room is way more convenient than making a doctor’s appointment or stopping by a wellness clinic to obtain the vaccine. All that is required by employees is to take care of some paperwork (filling in a form asking if we have any allergies, currently have a fever, etc.) and to read a sheet listing all the possible side effects and risks, “which are usually mild …
