Elizabeth, first, contacted our Salvation Army, asking to adopt the neediest family that they had available. She then publicized the family’s ‘wish list’ via an email blast, asking for people to give funds or bring items for this family in lieu of exchanging gifts with their coworkers. She also recruited shopping volunteers to take advantage of up-coming ‘Black Friday’ sales.
