CBS Reviews: A Game Changer

Situation

Agreeing to have a Corporate Business Solutions evaluation was, in the words of this HVAC industry client, “a game changer moment for the business.”   The company had survived the worst of economic times, generating more than 20 million dollars over five years, but it also took a loss during the last three—it was time for a business turn-around.

Process

First, “we discussed financial, productivity dashboards, sales goals, profit and loss structure, balance sheets, incentive plans, cash management reports and all the like,” over several days until an agreement and a commitment was reached for a CBS value enhancement plan.

The CBS consultant “has been a pleasure to work with, as he is patient, teaching all members of our team.  He assures us when things are going in the right direction, but he is not bashful about pointing out issues which require more attention. 

He taught us the importance of knowing our daily, monthly and beyond, financial and productivity goals as well as structured an accountability/incentive plan custom-fit to our company’s needs.  He also helped facilitate productive weekly management meetings that involve using a weekly updated 12-week cash flow tool, a must-have tool.”
