CBS Reviews: Much Needed Guidance
Situation
After experiencing rapid growth, the focus for this Corporate Business Solutions’ client, a fuel storage and delivery system supplier, was on increasing sales and profitability as well as refining operations to support these two goals.
Process
The client likened the consulting experience to when, as a young man, he and his father had purchased an old house to ‘fix up’ and sell. His CBS consultant reminded him of that time. “We first sat down and laid out the plan to achieve our goals, which we have adjusted as needs and obstacles surfaced. Our consultant, like my father, had a wealth of knowledge and wonderful tools that made difficult jobs far easier.”

He also did a great deal of work to enable our systems to communicate to each other so that accurate information could be generated. These advances will allow us to dramatically improve our estimating and enable us to ‘pre-engineer profits.’ Additionally, he implemented new practices and restructured old ones to encourage significantly more sales activity.”
