An Office Full Of Sunshine & Rainbows!
Tina shares that the biggest asset, design-wise, in her office is a huge window, which allows her to look outside—there’s nothing like sunshine to brighten a bad day. “It’s an instant positive attitude adjustment,” she says.
The vibe, throughout, is tranquility and harmony. Sunlight dapples across the coordinating colors of her desk accessories (bold pink, which is echoed in the pot of flowers by her guest chairs).
Decorating Influences
Tina is inspired by the simplicity of form and clean lines of Stickley furniture, mission and craftsman style. She enjoys shopping at Pier One (the side table and the clock came from there), says that it’s great for finding accent pieces. She used Home Decorators (branch of Home Depot) for her art prints—florals with the elegant, simple style that she desires for her surroundings.
While the office décor does change with the holidays—she just put away Easter baskets and bunnies, with flags to appear for 4th of July, Thanksgiving stuff in Fall and a Christmas tree with ornaments in winter, a constant would be fresh flowers and photos of her pets.
Her Biggest Tip for Pleasing Office Décor
Organization is a key part of her design ascetic. Having everything neat and orderly, Tina shares, makes work “easier and faster.” She likes to clean her desk at the end of the day, so that she’s ready for the next morning, never overwhelmed.
Being organized saves time and energy. Her file folders, which are beautifully color coded, can be easily staged on her credenza before meetings. Not only does her office feel peaceful, she has peace of mind, knowing exactly where everything is located!
